The student will take inventory of the significance of Christ’s ascension related to Pentecost and the ministry of the Holy Spirit as presented in the book of Acts.

The student will appraise Peter’s high Christology in the Pentecost sermon.

The student will assess the hermeneutical principles to biblical and theological scholarship, as well as to preaching and teaching. The student will synthesize the various theological approaches (ST, BT, RH).

Acts Introduction

The student will examine the authorship of Acts and its relationship to the Gospel of Luke. The student will evaluate various working outlines of Acts, with memorization of Dr. Cara’s Acts outline.

History of Interpretation of Acts

The student will analyze and critique critical and conservative views of Acts. The student will distinguish the primary and secondary purposes of Acts.
