How many times have you wondered what it would have been like to walk the roads of Galilee with Jesus, listening to him teach, watching him heal? Our imagination is a beautiful gift, created by God, to help us encounter Jesus in the stories of the Gospels, offering our attention and our hearts as we watch him, listen to him, and follow him.

Led via Zoom by Dr. Dan Heavenor, this imaginative prayer workshop offers an invitation to “seek his face” in prayer and encounter Jesus in fresh ways. We hope you will join us for this Contemplative Prayer Night. It will help you to grow in your relationship with Jesus; It will not only give you practical ways to practice imaginative prayer on your own at home, but will guide you through the experience with others the night of the event.

ABOUT IMAGINATIVE PRAYER:

Imaginative Prayer is a practice of meeting with Jesus by using our imagination to enter a story from the Gospels. Engaging our imagination to experience the sights and sounds of the unfolding Gospel scene helps to bring our whole selves, mind, body, and emotions into the presence of Christ. The purpose of this prayer is to cultivate a lived experience of friendship and deeper intimacy with Jesus.
