The Cross of Christ is the finished work of salvation and justification. This is the Gospel. Our faith begins and ends here, empowered and kept by the Spirit as evidence. Our faith is in what Jesus has done, not what we can do or add, as though he left something undone. We are to think rightly and be clear-minded about this so that we are not pulled away into prideful legalism or "another Gospel." The Gospel of Jesus, crucified and resurrected, is to be centrally taught, learned, and rehearsed in the Church.
