The Hitchhiker's Guide to Salvation

The Hitchhiker's Guide to Salvation: Where are we headed?

May 12, 2019 • Dr. Dennis Okholm

The Christian life is often described as a pilgrimage, but where are we headed? What is God doing and what hope do we have for the future? Join us this Sunday for the Rev. Dr. Dennis Okholm's third and final sermon in his series: "The Hitchhiker's Guide to Salvation." On week one Dr. Okholm spoke of knowing Jesus as the driver of our pilgrimage. On week two he taught us that grace is the primary rule of the road. This Sunday he will preach on the destination of our journey. If you missed one or both of the previous sermons, click on the link below to listen and get caught up. To best prepare for Sunday, spend a few minutes reading, meditating, and praying through Romans 8:18-25 and Philippians 3:12-14. As you do, reflect on the themes of hope, new creation, salvation, and God’s renewing work and our participation in that work. I look forward to worshiping with you on Sunday! Pastor Adam

Grace. It is a common word in our vocabulary, but foreign to our way of thinking. This Sunday is the second week in a three-part series from the Rev. Dr. Dennis Okholm entitled, "The Hitchhiker's Guide to Salvation." Last week Dr. Okholm preached on getting to know Jesus Christ as the driver in our pilgrimage (click the link below to listen to the sermon). This Sunday he will preach on the rules of the road, specifically our understanding of sin, grace, and forgiveness. To best prepare for this Sunday's sermon, you can read, meditate, and pray through Isaiah 43:18-25 and Mark 2:1-12. I look forward to worshiping with you this Sunday! Pastor Adam
