The Crowd Rejoiced & Their King Wept

They rejoiced. He wept.

This Sunday is Palm Sunday. It is a day that is often described as the Trojan Horse of the church calendar. We get caught up in the swelling joy of the crowd as they wave palm branches and shout “Hosanna” at the arrival of their long-awaited king. Yet, we are surprised when we see this new king weeping. Shouldn’t he be on an emotional high? Why are tears streaming down his cheeks?

Join us this Palm Sunday as we rejoice over the King who rode a donkey, yet acknowledged the pain to come. Our service is created to help us enter into Holy Week and prepare for the passion and resurrection of Jesus Christ. For the first time we will also have a Children’s Palm Processional prior to the Gospel reading and sermon. See details below if you’d like your children to participate.

I look forward to worshiping with you all this Sunday!
