Keys to a Great Invitation

PRAY!

Keep it real (don't make promises or lie)

Keep it short

Don't "should" on people (ask them to come with you)

Only ask for a 1-time try, not a full commitment to all of Alpha

It's ok if you don't have all the answers!

Remember a "no" is not a "never" and rejection is not a rejection of you as a person, it's an invitation to keep pursuing the relationship and praying for that individual!

Some Examples (Feel free to Copy & Paste)

"If I ___________ (picked you up next Wed), WOULD you ___________(try a night of Alpha with me)?"

"I'm going this thing called Alpha next week, we're going to eat dinner, watch a short talk about life, faith, and meaning from a Christian perspective, and have open discussion. There's no pressure or expectation to agree or say anything - do you want to try it with me?"

(Use this only if it's honest) "Hey, I heard about this thing called Alpha, I'm not sure what it is, but I know there's free dinner and some discussion. Do you want to check it out with me?"
