Chosen in Him

Ephesians 1:4

January 13, 2019 • Pastor Paul Edwards

Why is anyone a Christian? In the eternal purposes of God, from the foundation of the world, God chose a people for Himself in Christ out of all of those who have been justly condemned as objects of His wrath. He did this not because of any merit in those He chose, but according to the good pleasure of His will, according to the exceeding greatness of his grace, according to the riches of His mercy.

His Calling, His Inheritance, His Power

Ephesians 1:15-23 • April 21, 2019 • Pastor Paul Edwards

As we have considered this prayer of the Apostle Paul in these verses, we are confronted with a dominant series of threes: A Trinity of Christian Graces: Faith, Love, Hope A Trinity of Spiritual Prerequisites: wisdom, revelation, light A Trinity of Godly Insight: “that you may know” (v. 18): the Hope of His Calling (Past), the Glory of His Inheritance (Future), and the Exceeding Greatness of His Power (Present).
