What does it mean to have our "loins girt about with truth," to have "on the breastplate of righteousness (justice)," and to "have feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace"?
Conventional interpretations have dogmatically affirmed that what the Apostle has in view is the armor of the Roman soldiers who guarded him in prison. But this is not the case.
What Paul is describing is the armor of the Divine Warrior. And he is commanding us to take up the armor of this Divine Warrior so that we might stand against the Evil One and the evil he perpetuates.

The Apostle Paul asks for the prayers of his people, not for his own sake, but so that the mystery of the gospel might be proclaimed. He asks for two things specifically: "utterance" and "boldness." What is this "utterance"? And what is this "boldness"? And why are they so critical to Paul's ability to preach the gospel?
