Mark 4:35-41. The Storm. 1) Why are you so afraid? Everyone has storms. We must FAITH the storms in our lives. Physical, mental, spiritual, relational. Storms come like waves. I Peter 4:12. Don't be surprised. Praise God that you bear the name christian. 2) Jesus permits storms to test our faith. I Peter 1:17. a. Pressure test. b. People test. c. Persistence test. 3) Storms force us to cry out to Jesus. 4) Jesus will either calm the storm or He will calm you. 5) If Jesus is in your boat you know you will make it to the other side.

The purpose of marriage is to glorify God. Genesis 2:9. What healthy relationships look like. 1) God created us in His image. 2) God created us for relationship. There are distinct genetic components that make males and females different. Genesis 2:24 Enduring marriage depends upon 1) maturity. Leaving Mom and Dad. Be emotionally independent. 2) Commitment - cleave to his wife. Stick like glue. 3) Sex - become one flesh. Sex outside of marriage has painful consequences. Sex creates a bond that when broken brings incredible pain. How to have a dynamic marriage. 1) Attach high value to your spouse. Matt 6:21. 2) Meet the needs of your spouse.

To dream comes naturally, but to dream again takes something supernatural. Abraham's call came in his later years. Gen 15:5, Gen 22:17. Abraham was challenged to let go of two things in particular and to have faith to sow some seeds that would set the stage to realize God's calling for him. The seed of Ishmael and the seed of Isaac.
