Jonah: Youve Got Mail

Part 4

February 19, 2017 • Seth McRae

Pastor Seth McRae speaks at Radiant Church, the Newport, Oregon Foursquare Church. Part 4 of the Jonah series, Life on the Run. God works miracles through those who obey, though often times our nature rebels against Him. Regardless of which path we choose...obedience or rebellion, God is the God of second chances. Few stories illustrate this principle more clearly than the story of Jonah. Jonah 3:1. The word of the Lord came to Jonah a SECOND time. Jonah obeyed the word of the Lord and went to Ninevah. God’s second chance starts with our understanding that we have no chance at all without His grace. What is it in your life that appears to be an interruption but in reality just might be an invitation to tell God’s story?

Jonah: Jonahs Prayer

Pastor Seth McRae speaks at Radiant Church, the Newport, Oregon Foursquare Church. Part 3 of the Jonah series, Life on the Run. God works miracles through those who obey, though often times our nature rebels against Him. Regardless of which path we choose...obedience or rebellion, God is the God of second chances. Few stories illustrate this principle more clearly than the story of Jonah. Jonah 2:1-10. It’s only when we get to the end of ourselves that we come to the beginning of God’s work in our lives. Brokenness is a season. It’s not a destination. Jonah’s prayer was a prayer of perspective. He was remembering God’s faithfulness. It was a passionate prayer. When you get desperate you get determined. It was a prayer with the praise of gratitude. When it’s painful but you’re still thankful. The greater the calling the greater the breaking.
