Through Jesus’ conversations recorded by John in his gospel, we can see the hostile atmosphere Jesus experienced throughout the area of Judea. Jesus, aware of this danger, still travels into the area to fulfill the will of His Father. However, every time Jesus went to teach from the fullness of His knowledge, He was cut off by the religious leaders who got between the life-giving words of Christ and those who truly needed them. Regardless of the irresistible authority of His teachings and the unavoidable working of His miracles, many would not believe, and the religious leaders sought to kill Him. Though the religious leaders treated Jesus with such disdain, He remained completely calm, not resorting to any ill speech.
