Time: 2:00-4:30PM each Sunday Mandatory Parent Meeting: Thursday, February 8th, 6:00 pm (If you cannot make it call Ellen 469-865-3691) Location: Wesley Hall, Pulaski Heights United Methodist Church Leader: Dr. Amy Huett, Director of Nursing Excellence at Arkansas Children’s Hospital Wonderfully Made is a 2-part human sexuality and adolescence class for 5th Graders. This class, with the help of Dr. Amy Huett, and Rev. Ellen Rowland, explores the topics of puberty, adolescence, sexual reproduction, sexual experiences, safe sexual practices, pregnancy, and romantic relationships through the lens of Christian faith. The Wonderfully Made curriculum provides the safe space and opportunity for your child to ask questions about growing up, which can be hard to bring up with their parents at first. The curriculum covers physical development and centers itself on Christian truth: We are all made in the image of God, and beloved. Adolescence, sex, and sexuality are a normal part of having a human body, and worth both celebrating and stewarding well. This class is the starting point for important conversations with your child about how to love and care for their bodies as they experience mental, spiritual, and physical changes through their adolescence. We get you started, and provide you with tools to keep that conversation going! We are prioritizing registration to members of Pulaski Heights UMC. If there is space, we will open to non-PHUMC members. There is a max of 50 students in the class.
