The Bible is used for a lot of things. In this video, I share the 4 things the Bible is good for as referenced in 2 Timothy 3:16 "All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness."
[1:29] 3-step process I like to use to memorize Bible verses: 1. Say the "Address" (Bible reference), 2. Say the "Verse" itself, 3. Then say the "Address" again
[2:28] "All Scripture is breathed out by God" - Scripture is talking about God's Word or the Bible. This includes the Old Testament and the New Testament. God is the source of all Scripture in the Bible.
[3:19] "and profitable" - Profitable means useful. This verse tells us four things the Bible is useful for.
[3:44] "for teaching" - Teaching means the Bible teaches what is right and what is wrong.
[4:10] "for reproof" - Reproof means rebuke or exposing to you the things you have done wrong.
[4:48] "for correction" - Correction happens after the reproof. After you realize what you have done wrong, you have a change to correct it.
[5:15] "and for training in righteousness." - Training means you are working it out, you are getting prepared for something. Training in righteousness means the Bible is good for training you in the right way of living.
[6:10] Hand motions to help you memorize this verse.
