9/24 What Will You Do to Win the Prize?

An athlete will put himself into strict training to win the prize of a championship. What will you do to win the prize of an eternal crown? Will you discipline yourself? Control your body? Paul says he must in order not to be disqualified. My hope is that you are encouraged to challenge the temptations and sins in your life with the hope of the gospel and by submitting to the Lordship of Jesus because God is faithful and good.

This is a great question. When we consider being devoted to Jesus and serving in God's kingdom, which is better? Paul has some good things to say to us in 1 Corinthians 7 that are challenging and encouraging as we decide what it means to be single and married in God's kingdom.

Should a Christian judge or not judge? There are many verses in the Bible that address judging others. We begin today with Jesus and move to Paul and what is happening real time in the Corinthian church. I pray we are wise and discerning as we grow with each other and with Jesus.
