8/14 Heart Words for a Follower of Jesus
August 14, 2022 • Jason Swick • Psalm 26
David has made a choice as a leader of Israel. He chooses to follow God over worldly ideas. He chooses to unite with God instead of alliances with others that don’t follow God. Now David goes before the Lord remembering his covenant and heart’s desire and asking God to walk with him. We can use Psalm 26 as a prayer today on our journey of being “Followers of the Way.” David’s words lead us in a remembrance and proclamation that God’s way is the best way and it’s also our heart’s desire.

July 17, 2022 • Jason Swick • 2 Samuel 11—12, Psalm 51
The story of David and Bathsheba in 2 Samuel 11-12 is the foundation for David's lament in Psalm 51. But these heart words are for us too. Words of confession and asking for mercy and for God to restore and create a clean heart where our brokenness is right in front of our face. I hope you are blessed by this message and that it enriches your own prayer life.
