8/2 Jesus Ascends How Important is it?

The ascension is the culmination of all Jesus was and did here on earth. Without the ascension the rest doesn't make much sense and can't be fully realized.

Over the next few weeks we are going to explore the ramifications of Jesus ascending back to heaven and why this is the climax of the story and the part that brings us hope.

8/30 Jesus as Prophet

Jesus is the great prophet as he revealed the Father to us. Jesus also invites us to be prophets in the sense that we have a message of revealing the good news to others. We do this by listening to Jesus, being humble, & being bold.

We explored Jesus as our ascended king. Now we will see how Jesus ascended to be our high priest and sacrifice. How when Jesus ascended he opened heaven to us, enabling us to have a relationship with God.

When Jesus ascended, he went to heaven to stand at the right hand of God and rule as king. We joyfully submit to this king.
