July 24, 2024 • Tim Oldfield • Hebrews 6:1–2

Hebrews 6:1-2, Therefore, leaving the discussion of the elementary principles of Christ, let us go on to perfection, not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works and of faith toward God, 2 of the doctrine of baptisms, of laying on of hands, of resurrection of the dead, and of eternal judgment.

INTRODUCTION

The resurrection of the dead is central to the theme of Christianity. Once

again, we can see the importance of knowing and understanding this doctrine

by the fact that it is listed in the “first principles of the oracles of God.”

Therefore, it is imperative that this foundational stone be in a sure place in our lives.

We have considered that the resurrection is constantly attacked and how Jesus raised people from the dead. Resurrections took place through Old Testament Prophets and the early church. The Resurrection of Christ is at the heart of the gospel!
