Hebrews 6:1-2


INTRODUCTION


            Already we have considered three baptisms that are found in Scripture...the

            baptism of repentance, baptism in water, and baptism in the Holy Ghost. 

            Let’s continue our study...


I.         BAPTISM INTO HIS SUFFERING


            A.  His Suffering.

                        1.  His Cup. Matthew 20:20-23, Matthew 26:36-46  


             B.  Our Suffering.

                        1.  Our Cup. Philippians 3:7-10

                        2.  Our Cup…Modeled. John 10:10-18, (John 12:24-26, Mark 8:34-37)


II.        BAPTISM IN THE CLOUD


            A.  Good to Go.

                        1.  Following His Lead. I Corinthians 10:1-6, (Exodus 33:14-15),

     Numbers 9:15-23, (Romans 8:14)


            B.  In the Flow.

                        1.   Follow the Leader. Galatians 3:1-5, II Chronicles 5:11-14


III.       BAPTISM INTO HIS BODY


              A.  One Body.

                        1.  Unity. I Corinthians 12:12-14 


            B.   Strong Body.

                        1.  Built Up. Ephesians 4:11-16, Ezekiel 37:1-10, Psalm 92:13


IV.   BAPTISM OF FIRE


             A.  The Fire.

                        1.  Baptism of Fire. Matthew 3:11-12



             B.  The Flesh.

                        1.  Carnality. I Corinthians 3:1-3, Galatians 5:19-21


             C.  The Future.

                        1.  Our living will be judged. I Corinthians 3:10-17 


             D.   The Fleeing.

                        1.   Know When to Run. II Timothy 2:19 

                                    a.  There is a mandate for believers to depart from sin.

      II Corinthians 6:14-18, I Corinthians 10:16-21 


CONCLUSION   


            Remember, these are foundational stones in our growth process. We need to      possess desire to experience all of these baptisms.
