Compassion is seeing the pain in others around you, and then going on to do something about it. The problem is, especially during Christmas time, that we are just too tired to do anything for others. We are weary and collapse into that “recliner”, numbing ourselves to our stress and the world around us by tuning in to the TV or social media, and tuning out of the world.
