A Message of Hope
Responding to the Opioid Epidemic
Bringing Real Hope • September 10, 2017 • Mike Ashcraft
Last year a report named Wilmington, NC as the #1 city in the nation for opioid use and abuse. When we hear statistics about an opioid epidemic in our area, it sounds clinical and distant. We can easily dismiss it and pay it no attention. Yet, when you put a face to the problem, the issue becomes personal and you become invested. The opioid epidemic touches us all and will require all of us working together to free individuals from the grips of their addiction. On Sunday, Mike Ashcraft sat down with Mark Allen, PC3’s Refuge Coordinator. Mark shared his story of addiction and the power the Gospel holds in bring hope and freedom to us all. One way YOU can join the movement to end the opioid epidemic is by attending #MVMT on Monday, September 18th from 6 pm to 9 pm at our Wilmington campus.
