Hope Is Our Word. Love Is The Reason.
Hurricane Florence Response
A Life-Changing Yes
September 30, 2018 • Mike Ashcraft
God's faithfulness and His purposes for us remain the same whether we find ourselves besides still waters or facing the raging sea. Regardless of the circumstances we face, we are called to pursue His heart and reflect His love. There are opportunities ahead of us awaiting our obedience. Recognizing these opportunities requires stability and perspective which only come through staying connected to Christ. Focusing our attention on Him always leads toward a life centered on self-denial and others oriented love. Our life-changing "YES" could be someone else's life-giving "YES."
There Is A River

Hurricane Florence left our community devastated and in despair. Yet, even though the storm's winds were powerful, they weren't stronger than the spirit of our community and the love of Christ. The Church responded because God is faithful. We set our sights on the ONE who is worthy to be a refuge in the midst of the storm. As a community we don't want to "return to normal," but focus on the new thing God is doing in us individually as well as a community.
