Every longing we experience, at its core, is a longing for life. We desire to live a full life, one that makes our days count. If we don't live out or experience this fullness, we'll pretend, demand it from others, or compare our lives to those around us. Freedom won't come from anything we find in this world. Our real-life is hidden. It must be explored, pursued, and discovered. Freedom occurs when we're so full of Christ's love that we don't need to find our significance in anything or anyone else. God didn't give us His life so we can go about our business; He gave us His life so we could become life-givers. We take what we're already doing and offer it to God by making it available to Him.

Instead of listening to a message, we’re going to have a conversation about one of the most powerful, and yet one of the most intimidating parts of our faith, the Bible! Our hope is that through this conversation we would learn together what the Bible is, why we would read it, and how we can begin to understand what it has to say to us today. We believe that the more comfortable and confident we become with the Bible, the more God can use His Word to form us into the people He has created us to be!

Nobody likes being told what to do. We often resist obedience because we know WHAT we’re supposed to do, but not WHY we’re supposed to do it. Many of us possess a segmented view of Jesus. We love the concept of Jesus being our Savior but hesitate to make Him Lord of our lives. Jesus isn’t restricting us from something; He is leading us somewhere. Following Jesus begins with trust, but it always ends with obedience. It’s not about obtaining knowledge; it’s about the application. Seasons of adversity come and go, but there is a way to stand firm among them. Building our lives upon Him enables us to navigate the storms that we face.
