In tonight’s study Pastor Jason continues our series with “Advent A Look At Luke 1”. Luke was writing to Theophilus to share what he had learned. To disciple someone you don’t have to be an expert, you just have to share your journey with them. Knowing God’s word brings certainty, it has been proven time and again, what He says will come to pass.
Whether you’re young or old, God has a plan for you. Gabriel told Zachariah a miracle that had happened before such as with Abraham and Sarah and he doubted. Gabriel told Mary a miracle that had never happened before and she believed. We need to believe based on Who promised it, not our current situation.
Possess Your Promised Land
November 17, 2024 • Pastor Brittany Potter
In this message Pastor Brittany encourages all of us to “Possess Your Promised Land.” Israel’s problem was they did not listen to God’s command. Instead of driving out the influences that He had told them to, they allowed them to remain among them. One generation set no boundaries and this cost Israel their next generation.
The idols one generation allowed to remain became the very thing the next one worshipped. All influence will draw you closer to God, depending on the influence will depend whether it’s the upper case God or lowercase god, idol worship. An evil influence not dealt with will become a stronghold. What you give a corner to in your life will hold your children captive.
The Journey Of A Disciple Part 2
September 29, 2024 • Pastor Jason Potter
In this message Pastor Jason continues our series, “The Journey Of A Disciple”, with a look at phase two of the journey integration. Last week we looked at the foundation, today in Exodus 15-40 we see a pattern of integration. Israel has crossed the Red Sea, and on the way to Mount Sinai. In between they face three tests. God was testing Israel to see if they would do what God says.
God was saying to Israel He would give them words to keep, and if they would do what God had said, everything would work out for them. We start by reading, we grow in understanding, then we begin to do what God’s called us to do. The Bible has to be integrated in our lives. God wants us to live our lives according to His Word. It teaches us how we’re supposed to live, and how we’re supposed to treat each other.
