The Christmas story about the shepherds tending their sheep the night Jesus was born carries some great lessons for our lives when we think our existence is filled with mundane days and routines. None of those shepherds expected to be involved in a miraculous scene out in the fields, one that would be recorded for our learning even today. It changed their perspective and brought new joy into their lives!

Our worry and anxiety is usually over things that may never happen. What do we do when we are overwhelmed with these feelings? The biblical account of Mary receiving the news that she would birth the Savior of the world certainly caused her some anxiety. But her response shows us how to deal with our anxieties today.
