In Matthew chapter 13 Jesus gives several kingdom parables to His disciples, truths that he is not making clear to the unbelievers. In the Parable of the Soil, the Lord describes four kinds of soil or four kinds of hearts that receive the Word of God, the seed. The seed that falls on the good ground always produces fruit! Every time . . . always!

Jesus concludes the kingdom parables with the illustration of the drag net, drawing all men into final judgment. We don’t like to hear about hell and eternal retribution, but it is the most loving and kind thing Jesus could do for us - warn us of coming judgment and invite us to escape it by accepting his offer of forgiveness and eternal life!
