Paul is answering his critics in this letter to the Corinthian church, those who claimed he could not possibly be an Apostle because of the constant trouble and hardship he seemed to face. Paul reveals to all of God’s children that it is through suffering that God perfects us, and enables us to go and be a blessing and help to others. We have a certain power in suffering that can take us to the next level of effective ministry.

While here on earth, Jesus was always seeing the needs of people wherever He went. He noticed the hurting and lost and had compassion on them. We too are involved in this great purpose, helping those who are spiritually blind to receive their sight!
