What is the purpose of the trip?
The purpose of the trip is to reach the people of New Orleans with the Gospel of Jesus Christ through serving with love, prayer, sharing the Gospel, and connecting with CityLife Nola.
Who is CityLife Nola?
City Life NOLA is a ministry of Gentilly Baptist Church that is sponsored by the Louisiana Baptist Convention in partnership with Final Command Ministries. CityLife is the full-time organization in New Orleans that maintains contact with the people that we reach during our weekend.
Their purposes are:
1. To establish a Disciple Making Movement Lab that immerses people into disciple-making core values with the goal of training them to evangelize in their own community. Additionally, to host mission teams from around the United States and provide ministry training through hands-on discipleship opportunities.
2. To start a network of Discovery Bible Studies and simple churches that regularly study God’s work and make disciples who make disciples. These Bible studies target difficult-to-reach neighborhoods across the New Orleans metropolitan area.

What will we be doing?
We will be meeting material needs of those who are homeless or impoverished in order to share Jesus with them, identify a "person of peace" as an in-road to reaching unreached communities, and learning methods of evangelism that we can implement back in Central Louisiana.
We’ll do whatever is needed that may include activities like trash pickup while prayer walking, handing out bottled water and care packages to the homeless, street evangelism, free face painting, offering crafts for kids, handing out blankets, and balloon animals in City Park.
