We escape the corruption of the world as a result of following after the Holy Spirit rather than after human desires. God's grace teaches us to say "No" to ungodliness and worldly passions.

Created to be Like God

We are instructed to "put on" the new nature, created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness. This new nature is a gift received when we receive salvation, but it is something that we must be intentional about, "putting off" the old and "putting on" the new.
