Message #53: Purity vs Impurity

Matthew 15:1-20

August 30, 2020 • David Cotner

In today’s message, Jesus is confronted (again) by the Pharisees and scribes. Their issue? They want to know why Jesus and His disciples are violating the “tradition of the elders.” To their question, Jesus offers a stunning rebuke and a shocking pronouncement, “You hypocrites!” What exactly is the “tradition of the elders” and why did Jesus label these religious leaders as hypocrites? Message #86: The Glorious Resurrection!

September 5, 2021 • Matthew 28:1–15

As the old song goes, “Low in the grave He lay, Jesus my Savior. Waiting the coming day, Jesus my Lord! Up from the grave He arose; with a mighty triumph o'er His foes; He arose a victor from the dark domain, and He lives forever, with His saints to reign. He arose! He arose! Hallelujah! Christ arose!” Yes, indeed! The tomb is empty, and Jesus is alive! And in today’s message from Matthew 28:1-15, we’ll investigate this historical account as relayed to us by the Apostle Matthew.

Message #85: The Crucifixion and Death

August 22, 2021 • Matthew 27:31–66

Today we enter into one of the darkest sections in all of Matthew’s Gospel Account. In Matthew 27:31-66, we witness the crucifixion, death, and burial of our Lord and King, Jesus Christ. The perfectly sinless One dies for the totally sinful ones. Today we’ll unpack the specific (even surprising) details surrounding Christ’s crucifixion. Then we’ll discover the supernatural effects surrounding Christ’s death. And then we’ll stand amazed at the split actions surrounding Christ’s burial. It’s all coming up next as we end Matthew chapter 27!
