Dangerous Prayers

Expand My Infuence

February 26, 2023 • Brian C. Hughes • 1 Chronicles 4:3–4, 1 Chronicles 4:9–10

God has a grander vision for your life. If you’re interested in God doing something world changing and life altering, praying prayers like, “Break My Heart,” “Speak To Me,” and “Expand my Influence” are the prayers you need. “Expand my Influence” is a prayer that God is guaranteed to answer. Because we’re now not looking for an enlarged territory for the sake of our personal empire, but for the cause of the Kingdom of God. Pastor Brian Hughes shows us how “Expand my Influence” is a prayer of action, so that we actually make the world a better place.

Speak to Me

February 19, 2023 • Bryan Pope • 1 Samuel 3:17, 1 Samuel 3:4–12, Matthew 6:6

We all want guidance and direction on the BIG things in life. Wouldn’t it be nice if we could hear from God clearly when we had those important decisions to make? Should we take that job? Marry that person? Buy that house? But it’s hard to hear from God when we are speaking. Prayer is a conversation between us and God and God's voice is the most important voice in this conversation, not ours. Pastor Bryan Pope shows us that no matter where you are, it always comes back to asking God to speak into your life.

Break My Heart

February 12, 2023 • Angie Frame • Luke 7:11–13, Matthew 9:35–38, John 10:3, John 10:14–15, Proverbs 4:23

What if instead of asking God just to comfort us, we also asked him to break us? Brokenness isn’t the typical prayer, but sometimes, it’s the needed one. Having a broken heart is terrible. We spend a lot of time trying NOT to have our hearts broken. It’s not something that we invite just anyone to do. Praying a prayer like, “God, break my heart,” is dangerous, because it just might change our lives. This week Pastor Angie Frame shows us that sometimes, we actually need God to let us feel pain, because that pain can compel us to MOVE.
