Resurrection

April 17, 2022 • Brian C. Hughes • 1 Corinthians 15:3–8, Luke 24:36–49, John 20:24–27, John 3:16–21, 1 Peter 1:3

Did you know there are 4 writers in the Bible who tell the story of Jesus, but only two of them include Christmas—the story of Jesus’ birth? And only three of the four tell the story of Jesus walking on water. But ALL FOUR of the gospel writers tell us about one event—the most important event in all of human history. More important than Christmas. More important than miracles… The Resurrection. Wherever you are on your faith journey, the key to your faith journey is the resurrection. Join Passion Community Church for this special Easter message as we approach Easter as if for the first time and discover that it’s the only thing that matters.

Ritual

April 10, 2022 • Brian C. Hughes • 1 Peter 1:23–25, Jeremiah 29:11–13, Colossians 3:17, Hebrews 9:11–28, 1 Corinthians 11:23–26

In this week’s message, Senior Pastor Brian Hughes “de-weirded” the concept of “ritual” and showed us that it can propel us closer to God, versus being boring and mundane. He demonstrated four “rituals” he—and our church—participate in. In the follow-up discussion this week, Pastor Brian provides an additional list of rituals for consideration as you seek to connect with and grow closer to God.

Live Like You Believe It

April 3, 2022 • Elijah Schiarelli • James 1:22–25, John 8:31–36, Romans 6:19–23, Romans 12:1–2, Ephesians 4:20–24

Gravity. The ridiculously powerful force that holds the Earth and our solar system together is working all around us, all the time—and we completely trust it with our lives. Have you ever thought about it that way? Because you definitely do! If you didn’t, you’d have likely strapped yourself to your chair by now hoping you didn’t float away! But when it comes to faith in God, at some point, many of us ask, “Am I OK with God?” How do you get to the place where you’re OK with God? In this week’s message, Teaching Pastor Elijah Schiarelli will demonstrate that, like you do with gravity, you can start on your journey to “get OK with God” by living like you believe it.

Am I OK With GOD

March 27, 2022 • Brian C. Hughes • John 3:1–21, Ephesians 5:8–14, 1 John 1:5–7, Matthew 5:13–16

God, are we ok? If you’ve ever asked this or wondered about it, the good new is this:  there is an answer.  You CAN find it. And if things are not ok between you and God, there is a pathway to make it right. In this teaching, Senior Pastor Brian Hughes discusses the importance of this question, as well as why it’s OK to ask it. It’s the right question. Find the answer in this kickoff message to the Come Alive series…
