Everything's Fine

Light in the Darkness

March 19, 2023 • Angie Frame • Matthew 5:14–16, 1 Thessalonians 5:11, Genesis 1:1–3, 1 John 1:4–5, Psalm 88:3–8

Mental health struggles have always been part of the human experience, but we’ve not always–not often–done a good job talking about them or understanding them. To live as followers of Jesus in a world where everything’s NOT fine, we need to enter the darkness, and be a light.  In this week of our “Everything’s Fine” series, Pastor Angie Frame shows us how we can be a light for those who are struggling. Getting to reflect the light of the world to people at their most broken and fragile–that’s a sacred gift.  And Jesus offers it to us.

Put Anxiety in Time-Out

March 12, 2023 • Brian C. Hughes • Philippians 4:6–7, Matthew 6:25, John 5:17

Everyone experiences anxiety from time to time, but that doesn’t mean we’re without hope. When it comes to anxiety - whether it’s a chronic issue or an occasional thing, we can find comfort and solutions through the spiritual practices and teachings of some of the giants of our faith.  In this week of our “Everything’s Fine” series, Pastor Brian Hughes shows us how we can tame our anxiety. In knowing that God really does care, we can give Him our anxiety. God will never let us down, even if life doesn’t turn out the way we want.

I Have to Have That

March 5, 2023 • Brian C. Hughes • John 10:10, Philippians 4:10–13

Regardless of how much or little we actually have, we all say things like, “I need”  and “I have to have,” and “I can’t live without.” They can be small or big things. What if we could find peace and contentment, but not from “things.” In our new series, “Everything’s Fine,” Pastor Brian Hughes shows us how contentment isn’t found out there, it’s in God. And when you discover that, you’re released from the tyranny of things you cannot control and placed into the thing God wanted to give you all along - something better than the thing you were chasing anyway - Contentment.
