You Are Chosen

May 14, 2023 • Brian C. Hughes • Ephesians 1:1–5

We all search for belonging. And no matter who has discarded you in your past, Jesus chose you and took you in. Even before he made the world, God loved you and chose you. In this week’s message from our “SWAG” series,  Pastor Brian Hughes talks about what it means to be adopted by God and how that can change our perspective. You belong. You are never alone. Because of God’s infinite love for you, he chose you, adopted you, and through Jesus you belong to Him.

Ready for Battle

June 18, 2023 • Brian C. Hughes • Isaiah 14:12–15, 1 Peter 5:8, Ephesians 6:10–13

Every time you get in a car and you click the seatbelt, you’re doing something that acknowledges danger, and mitigates it. When you put your young child on a boat, you make them wear a life jacket.  The youngest and most vulnerable among us sit in a specially designed car seat. All of that is for protection.  In this week’s message Pastor Brian Hughes explains how we are in a battle for our very lives against the evil one- also known as the Devil or Satan.   He encourages us to stand firm and put on the full armor of God.  And armed with our full protection, the only outcome to this battle is Victory.

Where Does Wisdom Come From?

June 11, 2023 • Brian C. Hughes • Psalm 111:10, James 1:5, Proverbs 2:6, Ephesians 5:15–17

How do we get wisdom? Does it come from reading those tiny strips of paper in fortune cookies? Of course most agree that is not it. Wisdom is a gift God wants for you, but you have to pursue it. In this week’s message Pastor Brian Hughes invites us to seek God’s perspective and apply it to every situation.  And over time, we will find that wisdom becomes a defining characteristic in our lives.

Unity is the Key

June 4, 2023 • Brian C. Hughes • Ephesians 4:1–6, Ephesians 4:11–13

You don’t have to be a religious person to see that humanity was designed to work together. Finding anything that has had a lasting impact on the world that didn’t ultimately involve multiple people would be near impossible. The idea may start in one place, but the team makes the idea better. In this week’s message from our “SWAG” series Pastor Brian Hughes explains that unity is how the church changes the world. Unity found completely and totally in our collective, unashamed belief that Jesus Christ is the One True God.
