The Gift

PEACE 2.0

December 27, 2015 • Brian Beall

In an ever-shifting world, the kindness of God remains constant. He has pressed into our hands an enduring gift—one that cannot be used up, worn out, broken, stolen, or lost. A gift given to us in the past, lavished on us in the here-and-now, and promised to us for the future. It is beautiful in its simplicity and wonderful in its mystery. The gift is this: God became human and dwelt among us. All-powerful creator—wrapped in flesh, born to die—became the hope and healing for the world. This Christmas, we open our hands to the gift and our hearts to the giver as we reflect on the coming of Christ.
