When Nicodemus met Jesus, everything changed. Nicodemus needed new life—eternal life—but he could not do anything to earn it because eternal life is a gift that comes only from God. God showed His love in this way: He sent His one and only Son to save the world so that everyone who believes in Him will not perish but will have eternal life.

Jesus’ miracles proved that Jesus is the Son of God. They strengthened people’s faith and met their needs. Through Jesus, God did what is impossible for us to do on our own. He provided forgiveness, salvation, and eternal life.

Jesus Taught in Nazareth

Jesus taught like no other teacher because He was is the one that all of Scripture points to. Hundreds of years before Jesus was born, the prophet Isaiah wrote about God’s plan to send a Savior. He would bring good news and save people who were broken and hurting. As Jesus taught in Nazareth, He read Isaiah’s words and announced that He is the promised One.
