Dan White was raised in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. His father took him fishing and hunting as a small child, and he developed a love of the outdoors. His father taught him how to fish and hunt and would take his son with him when ever possible. He started fishing in the lakes and rivers of the U.P. He would often go fishing for lake trout with his father in Lake Superior. He was the kind of kid that would grab his fishing pole or gun after school and head to the Falls River or out into the woods to hunt partridge, woodcock, squirrels and rabbits. His love for hunting and fishing has remained with him through out his life, and he is thankful that the Lord has allowed him to enjoy His creation in this way.
