#27 Gentleness / Goodness

KEY VERSE: “See that none render evil for evil unto any man; but ever follow that which is good, both among yourselves, and to all men.” 1 Thessalonians 5:15 (Believe Pg. 434)
KEY QUESTION: “What does it mean to do the right thing in my relationships with others? How do I know?”
Matthew 19:17 “And he said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God: but if thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments.”
Definition of “goodness” - “Consistently reflecting the CHARACTER of God in our motives and actions.”
Luke 6:45 “A good man out of the good treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is evil: for of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaketh.”


KEY IDEA: “I choose to be GENTLE and GOOD in my relationships with others.”

Key Verses: Mark 8:17-18 "And when Jesus knew it, he saith unto them, Why reason ye, because ye have no bread? perceive ye not yet, neither understand? have ye your heart yet hardened? 18 Having eyes, see ye not? and having ears, hear ye not? and do ye not remember?" Jesus tells his disciples that they have a heart problem that has affected their sight, hearing and memory. Isaiah 6:1-10 Gives a three things we must do if we want to hear God's voice.
