Matthew 1:21 “And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins.” Shall SAVE His people FROM their SINS!

NOTE: Did you know that Jesus wasn’t called Jesus until somewhere in the 15 - 16th century? The Bible into English - It is a transliteration of his Hebrew name "Jehoshua" (Joshua).
- "Jehoshua" = “God is salvation”; "Jesus" = “God is Savior”
* There were 2 Prominent Joshua’s in Israel’s history:
1) The Captain (after Moses) - led the Jews into Promised land
2) In Zechariah - the High Priest that led the Jews BACK into the land after 70 years of Babylonian captivity…
* God decides to NAME His Son “Jehoshua”- Joshua
