God is welcoming us to follow the LORD onto the next step in God’s plan. God already has a new thing in mind. God already has the path laid out for us. Throughout the story of the Bible, we see this consistent thread of God doing new things because God wants to because that is God’s nature to breathe new life and renewal into the picture.
