What marks a Christian apart from others? Is it simply our good works? If our motivation toward good works comes from ourselves, we will eventually find ourselves operating from a place of shame or pride. But if our motivation is rooted in the Gospel, we will discover the freedom in knowing that our good works have nothing to do with us at all.

When we find ourselves in a position of facing uncertainty and trials, we can endure knowing that our inheritance does not come from anything we construct. Our ability to rejoice - even now - comes through the resurrection of Jesus and the eternal inheritance offered to us through Him.
