While all can be supported from Scriptures, each has unique aspects and emphases as well as applicability. The doctrine of sanctification has often been reduced to “now that you are saved, try harder to be good.” However, the same Holy Spirit who drew us to Jesus and brought us justification (salvation) also works in the life of a believer to bring holiness. Being holy doesn’t mean being sanctimonious; it includes great freedom. In this study, Ken discusses how freedom comes to the believer through the power of the Holy Spirit. Convergence of renewing of our minds (repentance) with skill sets (spiritual gifts) and development of character (fruit of the Spirit) is necessary and required.
