The Church, the body of Christ, should have a burden to encourage deep connections from generation to generation. One of the most unfortunate temptations and therefore greatest weaknesses of the church is to follow the pattern of the world around us and create tribal lines between generations. The church should be made up of interconnected generations encouraging and sharing life with one another. The young, learning from the old, the old, being inspired by the young. Intergenerational impact and ministry is essential for our lives to be lived to their full potential.
Open Life Church gathers together each Sunday in person at the Bonney Lake High School Performing Arts Center at 10 am. Our online messages are there for those who are not able to be with us in person, filmed at The Gathering Place earlier in the week, and released each Sunday morning.

During our in person service we will take time to dedicate children in 4 families and then we’ll conclude the service with a commissioning moment for our missions team headed out to Chile later this week. This makes our online service a little bit shorter. We'll look at the commands in Deuteronomy 6 and how they challenge us to set an example for the next generation. You’ll be encouraged by today’s message.

What decade do you think is best? Nostalgia for when we were young can shade the way we think about our generation as well as other generations. We can either use this nostalgia as a wedge to divide or a bridge to connect with other generations older and younger than our own. We also know that to receive the kingdom we must do so like children. Join us for the conclusion of our series focused on intergenerational community and discipleship.
