God will always bring peace to chaos in one way or another. He did this at the beginning of creation, and he did that when he sent his Son to the world to be God with us. Through Jesus and his spirit alive in us we have peace with God, not only spiritually but peace for every circumstance. Join us as we unpack peace during the second Sunday of Advent.

Open Life Church gathers together each Sunday in person at the Bonney Lake High School Performing Arts Center at 10 am. Our online messages are there for those who are not able to be with us in person, filmed at The Gathering Place earlier in the week, and released each Sunday morning.

Hope in Despair

Do you live in the light aware of the darkness or in the darkness aware of the light? In the gospel of John, he speaks of the arrival of Jesus as light coming into darkness. Something Jesus later proclaimed on multiple occasions, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness…” Light in the darkness, peace on earth and good will to all men. During Advent we will encourage you to live from a position of hope, peace, joy and love in a world that many times feels stuck in darkness. What can life look like when we actually live in hope vs. living in darkness with only an awareness of hope?
