Intro to 21 Days of Prayer

January 9, 2022 • Will & Teresa McCain • John

For the next 21 days, we invite you to join us as we unite together to pray as a ONE* Church family across all campuses. Often, prayer is a last resort instead of a first response, so let’s come together and seek God first and pray for Him to move in our lives, in our loved ones, and in our church, our community, and our country. Also, please feel free to invite your friends and family to join along with us as we pray through our 21 Days.

We have written out a specific focus, scripture and prayer for each day to make it easy for you to follow along. We will be specifically focusing our scripture references from the Gospel of John. John wrote his Gospel to inspire faith. As one of the twelve disciples and a beloved friend who was an eye witness to Jesus, he records for us Jesus’ most memorable sayings, his longest sermons, and his most profound miracles. John conveys throughout his Gospel that Jesus’ purpose in revealing God is to redeem people.

As we seek God and pray, let’s believe for God to do amazing and miraculous things for us, in us, and through us. He is a faithful God who redeems His people, and He can do much, much more than we can ask or imagine (Ephesians 3:20). When you go to pray over the next 21 days, we hope you will remember this amazing verse written by the Apostle John in 1 John 5:14-15: “And we are confident that he hears us whenever we ask for anything that pleases him. And since we know he hears us when we make our requests, we also know that he will give us what we ask for.”
