Scripture: John 12:23-26
(Jesus) “Now the time has come for the Son of Man to enter into his glory. I tell you the truth, unless a kernel of wheat is planted in the soil and dies, it remains alone. But its death will produce many new kernels—a plentiful harvest of new lives. Those who love their life in this world will lose it. Those who care nothing for their life in this world will keep it for eternity. Anyone who wants to be my disciple must follow me because my servants must be where I am. And the Father will honor anyone who serves me.”
Today's Prayer:
Jesus, thank You for giving Your life so that I could be free. Help me to love You more than anyone or anything in this world and follow You with my whole heart and life. Help me to do this by Your Spirit and through the power of Your Word. When I know Your Word, I can understand who You are more clearly and Your plan for my life. Though Satan wants to sift my life as wheat, protect me and guard from the evil one as I follow after You. Help me to overcome the temptations the devil brings to destroy my life, for greater is He who is in me, than he who is in the world. In Jesus Name, Amen.
