Day 18

Ask the Father in Jesus Name

January 27, 2022 • Teresa McCain • John 16:22–24, John 16:27

Scripture: John 16:22-24, 27
“So you have sorrow now, but I (Jesus) will see you again; then you will rejoice, and no one can rob you of that joy. At that time you won’t need to ask me for anything. I tell you the truth, you will ask the Father directly, and he will grant your request because you use my name. You haven’t done this before. Ask, using my name, and you will receive, and you will have abundant joy…for the Father himself loves you dearly because you love me and believe that I came from God.”

Today's Prayer:
Father, thank You for loving me dearly and giving me direct access to You through Your Son, Jesus. There is power in the name of Jesus, and because of Him, I can come boldly to You in prayer. When I pray in Jesus’ name, You hear me, and You answer me according to Your Word. No other name is more powerful than the name of Jesus. At the name of Jesus every knee will bow and every tongue will confess, in heaven and on earth, that Jesus is Lord! Thank You, Jesus, for everything You have done and continue to do for me. Your Word reminds me that no matter what I face in this life, overwhelming victory is mine through Christ Jesus who loved me and gave His life for me. In Jesus mighty Name, Amen.
