What kind of legacy will you leave? This week, as we celebrate Father's Day, Steve Barr challenged us to have a first generation heart after God. Not every generation in scripture devoted themselves wholly to the Lord. The generation of Israelites who walked into the promised land experienced God and witnessed the might of His miracles. The second generation knew about God, but didn't know Him personally. And by the third generation they did not know God and turned to worship idols. As we strive to keep a first generation heart, we must set our affection on God and experience His work in our lives personally.
