After the resurrection, the disciples were completely different people. They were so bold and inspired to spread the message of the Gospel, even in the face of death. As Christians, we have the exact same Spirit of God in our lives, so why don’t our lives look more like Peter's or Johns'? Is it even possible to experience the Holy Spirit in the same way?

We all know that sickening feeling of being separated from your child or parent in a big crowd. Looking for that familiar face in a sea of unknown faces is a sickening feeling. One of our greatest fears is being alone without anyone, but for the Jesus follower, God gives us a promise today.

The God I Never Knew

The night before Jesus was killed, Jesus told His disciples that He was leaving. At that moment, the disciples weren’t sure what to think. They couldn’t think of anything better than spending time with Jesus. Jesus knew as long as He was living on the earth, everyone would look to Him to do the work of God. But when He was gone, the disciples would realize that they had the same power to do God’s work through the Holy Spirit.
THE BIG IDEA: The Holy Spirit inside you is better than Jesus beside you.
