Tonight we begin new series. The Bible provides only optimism for those who seek God. Yet for many, this has not been our experience. Finding God has seemed elusive, frustrating, hopeless. Rest assured. God can be found, He wants to be found by us. He died so we could find Him and be with Him.

My Father's Business

Did you not know that I must be in My Father's House? This is the answer Jesus provided when asked for an explanation regarding His whereabouts. The meaning is astonishingly simple. Where have you been? What have you been doing? Jesus is saying He came home. To concern Himself with the business of His Father's house. When we come into the family of God we are instantly brought into the Family Business. It is a business that occupies ourselves with the Father's concerns to produce fruit for the Father's Kingdom. What is the Father's Business. The church must lay down the side gigs and embrace the Father's Business.
