While the phrase, "God helps those who help themselves" sounds biblical, it's not. It's sentiment, while good intentioned, can actually lead us to focus on ourselves rather than trust and depend on God.

It's obvious that Jesus is the center of Christianity. Therefore, when we tell people about our faith we need to tell them Jesus' story.

Churches are declining in attendance and at the same time, fewer Christians are telling people about Jesus. That must change, but we may be reluctant to share our faith unless we understand the heart of God and His love for all people.
